Diccionari d'economia i gestió

This first online partial publication of the Diccionari d’economia i gestió (‘Dictionary of economy and management’), which is in process of reviewing and updating, contains 451 terms related to supply chain, product, and commercial management. All these terms have been validated and completed by specialists from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and terminologically reviewed by TERMCAT.

Each terminological entry includes one main Catalan denomination and, if any, synonymic Catalan denominations; the equivalents in Spanish, French, and English; the definition of the term, and, when necessary, some additional explanatory notes.

The Diccionari d’economia i gestió (‘Dictionary of economy and management’) from which this new edition comes from was originally edited by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and Enciclopèdia Catalana in 2001 and it was published in print. The tremendous changes experienced by this domain during the 21st century called for a review and update of the original dictionary. With this aim, in 2023 TERMCAT was incorporated as a coauthor of this project, which now shows its first results.

Clicking on “Consulta de termes” (‘Term search’), terms can be looked up in three ways: using the alphabetical indexes (there is a different index for each language), using the thematic access or making simple or advanced searches in the upper space "Text de la consulta" (‘Text search’) in any of the dictionary languages.
