The Diccionari casteller (‘Dictionary of human towers’) is a collection of 121 terms commonly used in this field, revised by experts from the Colla Jove Xiquets de Tarragona. The sources of this terminology are El món casteller: terminologia bàsica (‘The human tower world: basic terminology’), elaborated by TERMCAT in collaboration with the Terrassa City Council, the Consortium for Language Normalization, and the Coordinator of Human Tower Groups of Catalonia, and Xavier Brotons’ Diccionari casteller, revised by TERMCAT, and published by the Deputation of Barcelona, both published in 2001.
The current edition of the dictionary contains the designations in Catalan, term equivalents in English and Spanish, and definitions in Catalan, English and Spanish.
Clicking on “Consulta de termes” (‘Term search’), terms can be looked up in two ways: using the alphabetical indexes (there is a different index for each language) or making simple or advanced searches in the upper space “Text de la consulta” (‘Text search’) in any of the dictionary languages.
